Paul Brule
Paul founded Brule Benefit Advisors in 1997 after spending 14 years working for larger institutions in individual investment and insurance planning, as well as employer-sponsored benefit plans including 401(k)s, SIMPLEs, and Defined Benefit Plans. His philosophy has been consistent since entering the financial services industry in 1983: to provide advice and service to his clients based on their circumstances and goals and, most importantly, consistent with their, not his, best interests. Paul expresses it this way: “What would be the best course of action for this client under these circumstances, and what would I do, knowing what I know, if I were in this client’s situation?”
More than three decades later, Paul has assisted countless individuals, couples, and families in achieving their retirement and financial independence goals. Many of his clients have already retired comfortably by implementing the strategies he recommended. To some degree, Paul is “old school” in that he believes that logic, common sense, trust, and relationships are more valuable in the retirement planning process than spreadsheets, pie charts, and performance comparisons.
Working with Paul, you will receive personal, engaged interaction. Your plan will be customized to your unique circumstances, not delivered from some pre-packaged software application. And, you will have virtually 24-7 access to him via phone, email, Zoom, or in-person meetings.
Since 2002, Paul has had the good fortune to work with many Federal employees across several Federal agencies, including the Veterans Administration (VA), National Nuclear Services Agency (NNSA), the Postal Service (USPS), Forest Service (USFS), and all branches of military services (US Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Army). In 2010, he began providing “Retirement Readiness” instruction to Federal agencies and private employers as an adjunct faculty member of The College of Southern Nevada (CSN). Regardless of whether you are a Federal employee, a private-sector employee, or self-employed, Paul is a resource you can count on for expert advice about retirement, employee benefits, and investments.
As many of his clients know, for over a decade (between 1992 and 2004), Paul volunteered his time to coach competitive youth soccer, leading his girl’s U-14, U-15, U-16, U-17, and U-18 (The Classic FC Cats) to five consecutive NM State Championship finals, winning both the U-16 and U-17 championships. His former players, without exception, have gone on to great achievements due, perhaps in small part, to their experience under his mentorship. However, as his planning practice continued to grow, Paul made the decision to “retire” from coaching (kicking and screaming); now, his mentoring efforts are focused exclusively on individuals and couples who are nearing retirement and would like professional coaching to help them achieve their financial goals in the most efficient, sensible manner available.
If you are a Federal employee approaching retirement, or an employee of a large or small business who is looking for help with investment and benefit elections, or a small business owner looking for an advisor who will provide expert coordination of your business and personal planning, contact Paul for a complimentary consultation with no strings attached.
